<li> If growing muscle is your aim, make sure you buy adjustable dumbbells so that you can increase the weight as your body develops</li>
<li>Don&#8217;t buy just one set of dumbbells, buy at least two. Some muscle groups can handle a heavier weight from the start, whilst others can only handle little resistance. By having a second or even third set you avoid having to re-adjust in the middle of your workout routine.</li>
<li>By adding a weight bench to your weight training equipment you can multiply the number of exercises you can do with dumbbells. Make sure you buy a weight bench that you can adjust to set at an incline.</li>

Heavier and adjustable dumbbells are used mostly by men to grow muscle tissue by increasing weights. Women that focus on toning rather than bulking will only require light weights to be able to carry out light weight training exercises with.</p>
